Letner history and timeline

1957 – Letner Roofing established in Downey, CA; two employees

1964-1967 – Operations moved to Orange County to accommodate expansion; Letner pioneers the use of concrete tile in residential applications; 75 employees

1967-1969 – Continuing steady growth ranks Letner among Southern California’s largest residential contractors

1970-1978 – Reputation for quality, integrity and service grows exponentially, along with its client list and high-volume residential experience

1979 – Milestone: first million square feet of roofing installed

1983 – Purchased first asphalt tanker; began installing commercial roofing

1984 – Company begins adding larger, more complex projects to it portfolio; 100 employees

1985 – Milestone: First single-ply project

1990’s – Letner becomes solely focused on commercial work; selected to design and install systems for larger, more prominent commercial, educational and institutional structures

1994 – Milestone: First million square-foot commercial roofing project –Ontario Mills Mall

1997 – Waterproofing services first offered

1999 – Letner’s facility becomes home to the industry’s first multi-million dollar fleet of tankers, crew trucks, forklifts and cranes

2000 – Milestone: First billion square feet of commercial roofing installed; 150 employees

2002 – First Green Roof installed; 300th customer added to list

2003-2006 – Growth continues, as Letner contracts for larger, high-profile commercial and institutional projects; 250 employees
